#1: 90- Day Planning

This is where I always begin with my clients, “what are your goals” – big vision all the way down to what the next 90-days have in store.

If you have dreams and ideas for your life or business, you have got to aim for them otherwise you may never reach their full potential. You’ll never know what could have been.

Before I started my business I worked for a lot of other business owners. It surprises me how many don’t have visions and goals that they relay to their teams. After working for a very large corporation where I always saw the Vision, Mission, Goals, and what was coming down the pike, moving into the small business world was a bit of a shock..

It’s no wonder they the company I worked for was big they aimed right for the bullseye and whether they nailed it or found a different bullseye they had a path.

When I began working with smaller business owners I noticed a pattern. I couldn’t tell you what their vision was. I wasn’t always sure what we were aiming for, what the company goals were, and how they wanted to grow and succeed in the future.

And that resulted in stagnation.

So when I launched my own business I created a vision to align all my dreams that I can share with my team, build a foundation upon and build plans around.

I encourage every company I work with to do the same.

It’s hard to create, grow and evolve when there isn’t a bigger goal to reach. Launching a bunch of ideas is great, so long as you have a target to aim for.

In today’s episode, I walk you through the process I use to break down my goals for the coming 90-Days.

Here’s a glance at this episode…

[00:54] You might have heard this before, a dream written down becomes a goal. A goal broken down into steps becomes a plan. A plan backed by action becomes a reality. Without a plan to work from, you will always find yourself in a cycle of frustration, stress and a lack of success.

[02:54] From then on I knew what to do next and I was finally able to trust the process – because I had a process that I could track to tell whether it was doing anything for me.
[03:35] Step 1: Write it down: Create or review your Big Vision goals for the next 3-5 years
[04:50] Step 2: Map out year goals to reach the big goal
[06:45] Step 3: Take Action
[09:40] Take your Big Vision Break it down further until you get to a place where you’ve broken down so much that it becomes a task that you can actually do tomorrow.
[10:01] Pitfalls and challenges: “My Goals are Big”
[10:55] Pitfalls and challenges: “I have my big goals broken down, but now where do I start?”
[11:19] Pitfalls and challenges: “I don’t know how to track my progress.”
